ライブ感想メモ／Arctic Monkeys @東京ガーデンシアター

・2023年3月12日公演の感想メモ。

・アークティック・モンキーズのライブは初めて。

・オープニングの『Sculptures Of Anything Goes』、完璧だったな。SEが終わって、すぐに不穏な演奏が始まって、アレックスが歌い始めて会場が沸いて...。観客全員の期待と興奮が伝わってきてなんだか幸せだった。あの瞬間をもう一回味わいたいよ。

・とにかくアレックス・ターナーの歌が上手すぎる。なんだあの声量と色気。生で聴くと想像を遥かに超えてた。

・特にアルバム『AM』以降のゆったりした曲、凄まじい歌唱力が遺憾無く発揮されていて圧倒された。

・歌うときの演技がかった身振り手振り、ダンディズムを見せつけてやるぜ！　って感じで最高。

・アレックスがマイクスタンドを掲げて観客がイェーイ！　って応えるくだり、微笑ましかったな。

・『Don't Sit Down ~』、アレックスさんが歌詞に合わせてマカレナ踊ってて笑った。

・『Four Out Of Five』、アレンジかっこよすぎでしょ。ロック寄りの曲調になってライブ映えしまくり。イントロだけだとどの曲か分からなかった。

・『There's Better Be A Mirrorball』、曲が終わった瞬間に舞台のミラーボールが光るのかっこよかったなあ。直前まで一度も光らなくて「あのぶら下がってるミラーボール、この曲なのに使わないの？」→「大サビになったら光るのかな...」→「結局最後まで光らなかったなあ」→「今ごろ光るんかい！」って感じでちょっと笑った。

・『Teddy Picker』→『Prettey Visitors』→『I Bet ~』→『Body Paint』の流れ、至福だった。

・『Prettey Visitors』、サビに合わせてみんないっしょに腕振るの楽しすぎ。ペンライト欲しくなった。

・『I Bet ~』、あと100回くらい生で浴びたい。バルコニー指定席で見てたんで、みんなで踊りまくれるアリーナが羨ましかったよ。

・『Body Paint』、終盤の長い即興演奏でじわじわと加熱していくのがたまらんです。直前のMCでアレックスが言ってたのは「この曲を君たち観客に捧げる」みたいな感じかな...？

・アンコール1曲目はまさかの『Big Ideas』。アルバム『The Car』の曲は観客が微動だにせずに「拝聴」って雰囲気になるんよな。

・踊れる曲も、静かに聴き入る曲も、どちらも最高級の歌と演奏で味わえる贅沢な時間でした。
