ピート・タウンゼントによる本曲の解説。

Suitably disenchanted with his former religion Rock & Roll, he gets a job as a dustman. Unfortunately, his extremely left-wing views are not appreciated by his work mates and he passes on to greater things. No sound effects were available to get the stink across so we used a brass band. Incongruous enough?

当然の帰結として、彼はロックンロールという宗教から解放され、ごみ回収業者として働きだした。不幸なことに、彼の極左的考え方は仕事仲間からは歓迎されなかった。彼はもっと素晴らしいものを目指し始める。不愉快なサウンドエフェクトが見つからなかったから、ブラスバンドを起用した。ちくはぐな感じがするだろ？
